Congratulations to Ohm Ohm(P4Grace), Yumi(P4Joy), Kris(P4Joy) and Grace(P5Love) participated in SASMO(Singapore&Asian Schools Math Olympiad). They have received Certificate of Participation. This was a great experience for them and TSIS encourages the students to challenge themselves through these competitions which will be beneficial for them.
SASMO is one of the largest math contests in Asia. The SASMO Team with the support of Advisory Council spend countless hours carefully developing contest papers which will touch on both school and Olympiad maths. This combined effort allow participants to do better compared to pure-Olympiad papers, since they are familiar with some questions and are able to put on their thinking caps for others, bringing out the inner mathematician in them.

Saturday 11 June 2022 marked a momentous occasion for our institution in celebrating the success of our pioneering students’ completion of their secondary education and our very first secondary school graduation ceremony. While much of the success of our students as evidently seen from their wonderful university offers from Thailand, UK, Australia, and New Zealand, is attributed to their own efforts, their achievements would not have been attained if not for the sweat, time, love, and resources provided by the beloved people around them -- parents, friends, school teachers and staff.

A very big congratulations to Nattacha Wattanaruk for landing a spot in Mahidol University International College where she will be majoring in Creative Technology.
Nattacha started her journey in Thai-Singapore International School in 2017. While working on her secondary education, she started exploring various academic interests including tourism and the medical field by participating in internships in different hospitals, attending dentistry camps, and signing up on the school’s medical club. However, realizing how the technology sector has been rapidly growing and how it is hugely shaping the future, Nattacha decided to focus on her other interests and has decided to take a shot in the world of AI, robotics, and computing machines believing that pursuit along this path is the best way to go to build a secure career for herself.
Nattacha is a well-rounded student who involved herself in various extracurricular activities while in TSIS. She was a member of the model United Nations club and had a passion for dancing and singing having taken part in multiple dance competitions and the school choir. She believes TSIS and everyone around her, especially her family and peers, played a huge part in what she has become and where she is today. She is forever grateful.

A huge congratulations to Elainne for receiving offers from top universities in Australia and New Zealand; including the University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, University of Queensland, Monash University, University of New South Wales, and University of Auckland. She has also received offers from Griffith University, Bond University and Victoria University of Wellington.
Elainne’s whole educational journey with TSIS started when she was in Nursery 2. From day 1 up to the present, she has consistently achieved outstanding results in class. Though gifted with intellect, she believes that without grit and hard work success would be elusive. Through her extreme commitment to her education and her discipline in her studies, she was offered an academic scholarship by TSIS for six consecutive years to date. Growing up, she developed a keen interest in the Sciences and Mathematics, which led her to choose Biomedical Science as her university course. Besides her commitment to academic excellence, Elainne is also passionate in dancing and has actively participated in school events. While her success is the result of all her hard work, she still believes that TSIS has played a significant role in her life, moulding her to become a multifaceted and dedicated individual.

Honey started her TSIS journey in 2010, and she has come a long way since from being a Kindergartener to being offered a space in two (2) prominent medical schools in Thailand -- the Chulabhorn International College of Medicine, Thammasat University and the Princess Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine, Chulabhorn Royal Academy. It has always been her dream to be a doctor and with her vision fixated towards that goal, she, all throughout the years, had been scaffolding her preparations and slowly but intently progressing towards her most desired target.
Honey’s preparations are wide-ranging. She not only gave emphasis on academic excellence but ensured she participated in a myriad of skills-building extra-curricular activities. She learned to turn her hobbies in singing, dancing and sports into an opportunity to express herself and to grow as a productive social being. She was able to explore her interests within the TSIS system through her involvement in the choir electives, her membership in the all-female varsity basketball team, and from joining numerous dance competitions/presentations. Her overall growth is the sum of all her efforts, involvements, undertakings, and of the people who have supported her every step of the way. And as she inches her way towards the pinnacle of her dreams, she vows to herself to always look back to enjoy the view and be grateful of her wonderful journey.

Richly deserved commendations are in order for Nop for his impressive university offers from some of the best medical schools in Thailand and first-rate universities in the United Kingdom in the fields of Medicine and Biomedical Engineering, respectively.
He received a total of five (5) offers from prominent UK universities like Imperial College London, University College London (UCL), King’s College London, University of Glasgow and the University of Dundee. And he also got two (2) Doctor of Medicine offers from Thammasat-Chulabhorn and King’s Mongkut Institution of Technology in Thailand.
Nop’s passion in the fields of medicine and engineering is best illustrated in his intense interest in STEM, his enthusiasm in doing internship work in hospitals and medical laboratories, and his utmost commitment towards academic excellence. Throughout his six years in TSIS’s Secondary Division, he had consistently attained outstanding academic performances which ultimately resulted in his achievement of A*s and As scores in ten (10) IGCSE subjects and four (4) AS/A-Level subjects.
But his interests do not stop there as he is also into various extracurricular activities ranging from community engagements such tutoring IGCSE/AS-Level, to arts, golf, diving, and basketball and volleyball (he is a member of the TSIS basketball and volleyball varsity teams). He is indeed a well-rounded individual with an exceptional mindset and vigorous work ethics, which over the years have been shaped by his laser-focused determination and of TSIS’s guidance.

Tin is a new addition to the Class of 2022 having joined TSIS most recently in 2020 from an IB school in the People’s Republic of China. Prior to studying overseas, he was enrolled in a Thai high school. Jumping from one school to another within six (6) years and needing to adjust to the different curricula in each school each time, along with having to adjust to the new environment and keeping up with his classes was admittedly hard for Tin at first. But his previous experiences have allowed him to emotionally grow beyond his years -- it made him resilient and easily adaptable. And with all the support he received from the TSIS community -- the Secondary Division, the Counselor’s Office, his teachers, and most especially his classmates -- his final Secondary education journey was relatively smooth, easy and enjoyable for him.
His stay in TSIS might have been short, but it was indeed a pleasant and a memorable stopover culminating with university offers from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology, Mahidol University, and Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology at Thammasat University for courses on Software Engineering, Data Science, and Civil Engineering, respectively.

Congratulations to Kvin for winning First Place in Chinese Storytelling. He got a trophy, a certificate, & a 6,000 baht for training and 10,000 baht as a reward.
He joined a Super S Award Competition at P.I.M. (Punyapiwat Institite Management). Each year P.I.M. launches four (4) separate competitions, namely dancing, singing, English Storytelling, and Chinese Storytelling.
In Chinese Storytelling Competition, the competitors choose their own stories. The story should take only about 4 to 6 minutes. After telling the story, the commentators ask questions for each competitor to answer. Kvin chose the story about “盘古开天辟地” (Pangu).
The parents would like to extend their gratitude to Zheng Laoshi and Song Laoshi for guiding and teaching him with the pronunciations, tones, grammar, and what not. Also, they would like to thank you to the TSIS and the Chinese Department for always supporting and encouraging Kvin to love Chinese and do better.
